I had been using this version of the program for some time before i released
iyt. I also added some extra features that were not easy in the CD ROM
version this program was now available as RockRom7 pro. The CD only version
had the same data set and was named RockRom 7 standard. The pro version
is much faster and the data structure is simplified, this makes the whole
program/data set much smaller even though it contains more data.
It was released in 2 versions the CD version which needed the CD in the
machine and a hard disk version which did not need the disk in place.
I used the basic hard disk version for future versions and updates as it worked
so well and was fairly easy to add new features. I designed the program
in small modules that were reused for other parts of the program.
The hard disk version proved most popular and worklded much better. I
had hardly any customer with problems, the bugs were easily and quickly
fixed.. And it worked much better. I also include a backup and restore
program so that users could keep copies of the data they have added or
changed.
